CALL FOR ABSTRACTS / POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Oral /E-Poster Presentation (Any one) are invited for Register delegates for FOGSI VICE PRESIDENTIAL CONFERENCE to be held from 10th to 11th May, 2025 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Sector 18, Noida.

Important Dates & Guidelines:
  • Abstract, Free Paper & E- Poster submission closes on: 15th April, 2025
  • Mode of submission: The Abstracts must be submitted via email only in MS Word Format (as per guidelines given below) to abstractvpnoida@gmail.com
  • Conference registration is mandatory for submitting the abstract.
  • The author should give a declaration of his/her age.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
  • Original research work is encouraged.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts and will be accepted as oral free papers/poster presentations during FOGSI VICE PRESIDENTIAL CONFERENCE.

Abstract Submission Categories / Themes

Two categories

  1. Post graduates ( Should be a member of FOGSI and attach letter of permission from the Head of the Department)
  2. Clinicians ( Must be a member of FOGSI and registered for tge conference).

Themes:

  • Innovations and Technical Advances in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Gynaecological Issues - Menarche to Menopause
  • Reproductive Medicine
  • Critical care in Maternal Medicine

Format For Abstract Submission:

  • Abstracts should be written as
    • Aims,
    • Objectives,
    • Methodology,
    • Results,
    • Discussion and Conclusion
  • The first author will be the contact person for all the correspondence regarding the presentation.
  • Names, mobile number and e-mail addresses of 1st author and co-authors MUST be provided. Make sure all e-mail addresses are correctly entered.
  • All abstracts are to be submitted in English.
  • Authors have to use Times New Roman font with size 12.
  • An ABSTRACT should not exceed 250 words. The word count includes the body of the abstract. It does not include author information. Abstracts should be text only; images and visual aids are only allowed in the presentation should your abstract be accepted.
  • Kindly choose the appropriate theme relevant to your presentation.
  • The title should be short and concise & must be written in capital letters.
  • Time allotted will be 7 Mins +2 Mins Discussion
  • Abstracts/papers previously presented at any National or
    International meetings are not permitted
  • The abstract should not contain broad statements like "The results will be discussed", etc.
  • Standard abbreviations can be used. However unusual abbreviations should be in brackets after the full word, particularly when it appears for the first time.
  • Case reports are generally not accepted for paper presentation. They will be converted to poster presentations.
  • All Submissions will be acknowledged by email. Kindly provide your current working e-mail ID along with Mobile number.
  • All fields of the online abstract submission form must be completed.
  • By submission of an Abstract, the author transfers copyright ownership to the organizing committee for publications.
  • Abstracts submitted by Oral presentation may be granted poster presentation depending on the numbers of papers received.

E-Poster (Electronic Poster) Presentation Guidelines:

The scheduling of the poster presentation will be based on first come first serve basis of abstract submission.

Format For E-Poster Submission
  • E-poster should be made in PPT format
  • Your PPT file should be named as per below format:
    File Name: Your abstract No, Space, Your first name, Space, Your Last name
    If Your Abstract No is PP203, Your First Name is: Rohan, Your Last Name is: Patel, then your file name should be like this - PP203 Rohan Patel.
  • All E-posters presentations should be in 16:9 ratio (Vertical page layout)
    • To prepare your presentation please use Powerpoint 2013/2010 or later and then save it as a PDF file.
    • E-poster has to be sent ON E-MAIL ONLY. Send your e-poster to abstractvpnoida@gmail.com with the name of your poster as the subject.
      For eg. Subject : PP203 Rohan Patel
    • The presenter should carry it in pen drive as a standby.
    • Each presenter needs to get their poster uploaded in their respective halls for presentation, 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
    • He will be given 2 minutes to explain his poster.
    • Use of commercial drug names, brands and registered trademarks are strictly prohibited. Drugs should be referred to by the pharmacological designation or the active substance.
    • No mention of the pharmaceutical company name should be included.
    • Posters should be self-explanatory. Text should be brief and well organized.
    • During the E poster presentation, when the judges are evaluating the concerned poster, the presenter should be present in the display area, explain his poster and clear the scientific queries of the judges.
    • If the presenter is not present near his scientific poster display area, his presentation will not be considered for evaluation.
    • Use of any other audio visual aids along with the poster will not be permitted.
    • Please check the grammar and spelling and any such errors are the responsibility of the participants only.
    • The poster presentations are scheduled on 2 days of the conference.
    • Scientific poster presentation will be facilitated by 2 judges.
    • A scientific coordinator will be assigned to coordinate all activities.
    • Certificate of presentation will be issued only to the presenter.
    • The decision of scientific committee shall be final.
Please Note:

In case the presenting author is unable to attend the conference, the second author may be allowed to present the paper in exceptional circumstances only. The second author in that case has to register for the conference.

Poster registrants are not eligible to present any papers.
